Trauma Happens to Everyone

It can be Physical, Mental, and/or Emotional. Many people do not realize they have had a traumatic experience because most people believe “a trauma” is only something dramatic or changes their world entirely.

How do you know if you have unhealed Trauma?

You may experience nightmares or flashbacks that take you back to the traumatic event. You may struggle with mood swings, as well as disorientation and confusion, which can make it challenging to perform daily tasks.

How Does your Body Remember Trauma?

Traumatic body memories are particularly observed in post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with intrusively re-experienced traumatic life events that manifest in the form of somatic flash backs including physical sensations such as smells, tastes, pain, haptic experiences, pressure or sweating.

Emotional Trauma, the Mind-Body Connection and How it Effects us…

When we feel like we are in danger are body goes into The Sympathetic Nervous System (Fight or Flight) and The Parasympathetic Nervous System (Rest and Digest). The system’s control things like digestion and heart rate. So once your body senses it’s in danger it starts working against you. When you don’t let go of your Emotional Trauma you then put it in different parts of your body which breaks down over time and your body goes into Dis Ease.

Trauma Massage is a reset of the Parasympathetic Nervous System. In this modality I will be using acupressure, myofascial release, essential oil’s, red light sauna therapy blanket, journaling., breath work. What you will experience is life changing. You may start to feel like you can accomplish things you never thought you could. Creating a space to let go of what no longer serves you. All kinds of feelings such as denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. All the stages of Trauma. You might feel happy even though you’re sad and going through all the experiences that are surrounded by your trauma. In this you might find who you are supposed to be in this life when you’re free from your Trauma.

Injury Massage is a modality that focuses on the injured areas while manipulating specific muscles, ligaments, and tendons to promote healing and improve mobility. In this modality I may use heat, cold or cupping.

Intuitive Therapeutic Massage is my modality and I go from what I feel from your body. That may include energy work, talking about certain things or experiences that may help your session. Plus all the modalities that I have learned over my massage career. I tailor everyone’s experience for their individual needs.
